Hoymiles HMS-1600W-4T Micro Inverter
The HMS-1600-4T (MPN: HMS-1600-4T) from Hoymiles is the perfect micro inverter for your balcony PV system. This compact lightweight unit is suitable for solar power production with up to four solar panels, each with an output of 320 W to 540 W+. Like all Hoymiles micro inverters, it is designed for long operating hours and a wide range of PV modules, thanks to its very low start-up voltage (only 22 V) and an extremely wide DC operating voltage range (16–60 V).
Compared to the previous HM series, the HMS-1600-4T offers increased safety for rooftop PV systems thanks to rapid shutdown and an isolated transformer. The new sub-1G wireless solution enables more stable communication with the Hoymiles DTU gateway.
For compliant operation as a balcony PV system in Germany, the Hoymiles HMS-1600-4T must be limited to 800 W – this can be easily done via the optional DTU-WLite-S.
