SMA Energy Meter CT (three-phase)

Universal measurement value acquisition via current transformers for intelligent energy management. Current clamps offer the advantage that they can measure current without interruption or direct contact with the circuit. They are safer and more flexible and enable fast, contactless measurement, making them particularly suitable for measuring AC current in hard-to-reach areas.

The intelligent power meter for PV systems and storage systems determines electrical energy flows at the grid connection point or upstream of generators/loads on a phase-accurate and netted basis. The measurement data is transmitted via the SMA SPEEDWIRE interface through the local network to SMA devices.

Important note: When using SMA Sunny Boy Smart Energy or SMA Tripower Smart Energy devices in combination with inverter(s) from other manufacturers, it is not possible to use an SMA Energy Meter as a generation meter in the Home Manager. This limitation applies only to SMA Smart Energy devices.

Starting with firmware version 2.18.xx.R (release expected at the end of April 2026), Sunny Home Manager 2.0 will be able to support the SMA Energy Meter as an additional PV generation meter in the ennexOS portal (version 1.31.7), which was previously not possible.

This enables Sunny Home Manager 2.0 to also integrate generators that are not able to communicate directly with Sunny Home Manager 2.0.
