Compatibility with the EcoFlow hybrid inverter
The PowerOcean storage system is only compatible with the PowerOcean and PowerOcean Plus EcoFlow hybrid inverters.
The battery connection box is available in two different versions depending on whether it is for PowerOcean hybrid inverters with outputs of 6, 8, 10, or 12 kW, or for the PowerOcean PLUS models with 15, 20, 25, or 29.9 kW. The battery pack (5 kWh battery module) is always the same. In our shop, you’ll find pre-configured battery towers with the matching connection boxes for the PowerOcean or PowerOcean Plus hybrid inverter available to purchase. Always make sure the product title includes “Plus” when you need the Plus version.
Smart monitoring and control
Smart monitoring and control of the EcoFlow PowerOcean is handled via the user-friendly EcoFlow app and web portal. This AI-powered HEMS lets you track your electricity consumption, solar feed-in, and battery storage in real time. You can prioritize your solar self-consumption and automatically charge the battery with surplus energy for night-time use or for periods of low solar generation. With its certified IP65 protection rating, which provides protection against dust and water, the battery remains fully operational even in harsh environments. Each individual battery is fire-resistant and weatherproof, and thanks to its robust LFP battery chemistry it is designed for over 6,000 charge cycles. Because each battery module has its own battery management system with an integrated DC-DC converter, a fault in one battery does not affect the rest of the storage system. An active fire protection module monitors the battery temperature and triggers fire protection if it rises above 170°C, helping to protect your home from damage in an emergency. This advanced safety technology makes the EcoFlow PowerOcean a reliable and safe home battery storage solution with a 15-year warranty.

The fire protection module detects potential malfunctions and protects the storage system from overheating and damage. The automatic heating elements ensure the battery performs optimally at low temperatures, increasing its reliability and efficiency. Because each battery module has its own integrated BMS, you still retain part of the total capacity even if individual battery modules fail. This makes the EcoFlow PowerOcean a robust and safe battery storage system that delivers reliable performance even under demanding conditions.
Battery capacity can be expanded flexibly
The EcoFlow PowerOcean offers a flexible capacity from 5 kWh up to 15 kWh per tower, making it easy to match your individual energy needs. Thanks to the integrated DC-DC converter in each battery pack, you can start with a single 5 kWh battery module and gradually expand the storage capacity at any time up to a 15 kWh battery system.
