Complete Hybrid System for PV Installations with Battery Storage

The three-phase inverters are compatible with 2–7 battery modules; the single-phase inverters are compatible with 1–4 battery modules.

The Pylontech Force H3X Hybrid set combines a hybrid inverter and modular high-voltage battery storage for flexible self-consumption and backup solutions. The system covers outputs from 3.6 to 15 kW and storage capacities from 5.12 to 35.84 kWh. It can be used in single-phase and three-phase applications, supports on-grid and off-grid operation, and can be expanded easily. Ideal for single-family homes, multi-family buildings and small commercial businesses. With app control, UPS function and intelligent energy management, the set is suitable for both new installations and retrofits.

Inverter Technology & Monitoring

The hybrid inverter offers PV input power up to 24 kW (three-phase) and output power from 3.6 to 15 kW. It supports single-phase and three-phase grids, features up to 3 MPPTs and processes one PV string per MPPT. Switching between grid and off-grid operation takes place in ≤ 10 ms. Data communication is possible via WiFi, Bluetooth and LAN. Control and monitoring are carried out via app or web portal, including dynamic energy flow control, remote service and heat pump integration. A smart meter is included in the set.

Battery Storage & Expansion

The battery storage consists of modular high-voltage LFP cells with 5.12 kWh per module. You can stack up to 7 modules (35.84 kWh) per system and operate up to 6 systems in parallel (max. 210 kWh). Depth of discharge is 95%, and the service life is over 8,000 cycles. Each module weighs 39 kg; total system weight varies depending on configuration. Noise emissions remain below 30 dB, the system operates with natural air cooling and is suitable for installation indoors or in a utility/technical room.

Smart Meter Integration

The set includes a smart meter as a standalone device. Installation is carried out directly at the grid connection point. The smart meter measures power flow between the grid, PV system and battery storage, enabling precise self-consumption control and limiting grid feed-in. Data is transmitted to the energy management system via the communication interface and is available for app visualisation and control.

System Accessories & Functions

The set includes mounting accessories such as floor and wall brackets, anti-tilt brackets, AC and PV connectors, as well as a PV terminal removal tool for safe installation. A WiFi configuration manual and an operating manual support commissioning. The system provides interfaces for emergency power off (EPO), heat pump control and CT connection. Integration into the household grid is via pre-assembled AC and DC connections. The accessories are matched to the system size and enable fast and safe installation.

Installation & System Integration

The system is assembled by stacking the battery modules on the floor or optionally on the wall (up to 15 kWh). IP55 protection allows installation indoors, in a utility/technical room or basement. The inverter is placed directly on top of the battery storage and is also IP55-rated. PV modules are connected via the supplied connectors, and the AC connection is made using pre-assembled connections. Communication with the BMS and smart meter is via RJ45 and multi-function connectors. All components are connected according to the installation plan and commissioned via the app.
